FSG Social Impact Advisors is an international nonprofit consulting and research organization dedicated to accelerating the pace of social progress by advancing the practice of philanthropy. FSG helps leading foundations, nonprofits and corporations increase their social impact through strategy consulting and evaluation services. In addition, FSG works to strengthen the field of philanthropy by researching, developing and sharing ideas and knowledge that address critical social issues.

            Advice   Ideas   Action

FSG is dedicated to accelerating social progress by advancing the practice of philanthropy and corporate social responsibility in three ways:

Advice. We offer consulting services—on strategy and implementation, evaluation, organizational alignment, and corporate social responsibility—that help individual foundations, corporations, and nonprofits increase their effectiveness and social impact. Our international team of full-time consultants – drawn from the world's top strategy consulting firms – has a deep understanding of both the nonprofit and for-profit sectors, complemented by specialized expertise on specific issues such as education, domestic and international health, and social services, as well as evaluation and social investing.

Ideas. Breakthrough ideas are at the core of what we do, from our original writing on the ways foundations can create value, to our more recent work on evaluation, corporate social responsibility, and community foundation sustainability. We invest heavily in research to learn and to develop new ideas that help both our clients and the field to excel. Our thinking is featured in such publications as Harvard Business Review, Stanford Social Innovation Review, and The Chronicle of Philanthropy.

Action. When our consulting and research identify areas of field-wide significance in which we believe our skills can make an important contribution, we undertake multi-year initiatives in collaboration with external partners, guided by expert advisory boards, and supported by major funders. These action initiatives may result in research reports, conferences, or even the establishment of new organizations to meet specific needs within the field. Our goal is to advance the field by creating tools, identifying best practices, and fostering constructive collaboration to accelerate the pace of social progress.
